Electrical connection

General information
DANGER
Risk of electric shocks!
▶ Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work
on the device.
All regulation, control and safety equipment of the device is
connected at the factory and supplied ready for operation.
WARNING
Lightning strike!
▶ The device must have a separate connection in the
distribution box and be protected by a 30-mA fault current
circuit breaker and earth lead. A lightning protection device
must also be provided in areas characterised by frequent
lightning strikes.

Connecting the power cable

The electrical connection must be made in accordance with the
applicable regulations for electrical systems in residential
buildings.
▶ An earth lead must be present.
▶ Use a socket with an earth lead for the connection to the
mains power supply.
6.2

Replacing the electric power cable

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with an
original spare part.
▶ Disconnect the power cable from the socket.
▶ Loosen the cover flap screws.
▶ Release all of the terminals of the power cable.
▶ Remove the supply cable and replace it with a new one.
▶ Re-attach all of the connections.
▶ Tighten the cover flap connections.
▶ Connect the power cable to the socket.
▶ Check that it is working properly.

Maintenance

Inspection, maintenance and repairs,
▶ Inspection, maintenance and repairs must only be carried
out by competent and authorised persons.
▶ Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer. The
manufacturer will assume no responsibility for damage
caused by spare parts not supplied by the manufacturer.
Customer recommendation: Maintenance checks.
▶ The appliance should be serviced annually by a competent
authorised technician in order to maintain the economy,
safety and reliability of the appliance.
7.1

Information for users

7.1.1 Cleaning

▶ Do not use abrasive, caustic or solvent-containing
cleaning agents.
▶ Use a soft cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.

7.1.2 Checking the pressure relief valve

▶ Check whether water leaks from the pressure relief valve
vent pipe during heating.
▶ Never obstruct the vent pipe of the pressure relief valve.

7.1.3 Pressure relief valve

▶ Open the pressure relief valve manually at least once a
month (Fig. 6).
CAUTION
Risk of personal or material damage!
▶ Ensure that the water discharged by the pressure relief
valve does not pose a risk to people or property.

7.1.4 Maintenance and Repair

▶ The customer is liable for ensuring regular maintenance
and testing by customer service or an approved contractor.
