When transporting the machine
CAUTION
When transporting the machine, be sure to carry it by its
grips (recess and support). Lifting the machine by any
other part may damage the machine or result in the
machine falling, which could cause injuries.
Transport the machine by 2 grips on the right side (recess)
and on the left side (support).

Items to Prepare
Fabric and Stabilizer
Stabilizer is a piece of specialty product used under the fabric
to support it during the embroidery process to ensure the
best results.
Prepare stabilizer that is larger than the embroidery frame.
For details on using commercial stabilizer, refer to the
instructions included with it.
Embroidery thread (upper and bobbin threads)
Upper thread:
Prepare the colors needed for the pattern. Brother
embroidery thread is recommended. Other embroidery
threads may not yield optimum results.
Bobbin thread (or Pre-wound bobbin):
This thread is wound onto the bobbin and sewn on the wrong
side of the fabric. Use the included bobbin pre-wound with 90
weight embroidery bobbin thread or recommended 90 weight
embroidery bobbin thread.
Needle (on machine)
Use a 75/11 home sewing machine needle.
If the machine is not stitching well when embroidering on
heavy weight fabric, please try a 90/14 needle. (page 32)
Mobile device
This machine is controlled by an app. Install the Brother
Artspira app on your mobile device, and then use the app to
edit patterns and operate the machine.
