INTRODUCTION

Please read through these operating instructions, so you will know how to operate your equipment properly. After you finished reading the instructions manual, put it away in a safe place for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not expose the battery or the installed battery to excessive heat. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as the batteries may explode. Never mix old and new batteries (replace all batteries at the same time).
  • The radio should be away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other Never put the radio in direct sunlight in an unventilated area or behind glass like a car's interior. appliances that produce heat.
  • If the radio is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, remove the batteries. The batteries may leak and damage furniture or your radio.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • The product shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed over the product. Dry location use only.
  • No naked flames sources, such as candles, should be placed over or near the product.
  • Take care when using the radio outdoors, especially when crossing the street.
  • Listen at a moderate volume. Do not listen to music at very high volumes using the earphones as this can permanently damage your hearing.
  • Keep the radio clean and never store it next to a heat source or in dirty, humid or wet places. Keep it out of direct sunlight.
  • Do not subject the product to harsh impacts. Do not drop the appliance. This may result in damage to the product.
  • Do not attempt to dismantle or repair this unit yourself. Repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Do not allow your radio to be submerged in water. Do not expose headphone socket or the radio to water, as water entering the set may cause major damage.
  • Active mobile phones in the vicinity may cause interference.
  • Take off the battery when cleaning. Use a slightly dampened lintfree cloth to clean this appliance. Do not dismantle the radio or use alcohol, thinners or benzene to clean the surface of the radio.
  • This product is not intended for commercial use. It is for household use only.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES

  • Lift off the battery compartment cover from the rear of the unit.
  • Insert 2 x AAA size alkaline batteries in accordance with the diagram in the battery compartment. Take care to observe the correct polarity (+/ -).
  • Refit the battery compartment cover.

Note: We recommend replacing the batteries if the display is less legible. The product contains a short-term backup power supply, which keeps the preset clock and preset stations during battery replacement.
While the backup power runs out, you will have to set the clock and preset
stations once insert the new batteries.

POWER ON/OFF THE RADIO

Press thebutton to turn on the radio, the display shows radio frequency. Press and hold thebutton for 2 seconds to turn off the radio. The display will revert to the current time.

TIME SETTING

After the batteries are installed, the display will show time [0:00].

  • In standby mode, press and hold the MEM/SET button, the display will flash.
  • Press the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the time.
  • Press the MEM/SET button to confirm. The clock is displayed.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO

  • Press the button to select the FM or AM band.
  • Press and hold tuning buttons to start automatic scan of the next or previous station.
  • Press the tuning buttons to start manual scan upwards or downwards until the frequency of the desired station appears.
  • To increase or decrease volume, press the volume button.
    Note: Extend or move the antenna for better FM reception. For AM reception, you may need to rotate the radio until the reception is best.

USING RADIO PRESETS

Store Preset stations
Up to 20 (10 FM / 10 AM) radio stations can be preset.

  • In FM or AM mode, tune to your desired radio station.
  • Press and hold the MEM/SET button for 2 seconds, you will see [PRESET] and the preset number [CH01] on the display. Press the MEM/SET button to store the preset station [CH01].
  • Follow the same steps to store next stations.
    Note: Stations are stored sequentially from the first [CH01] to the last [CH10] preset.

Selecting Preset stations
Press the MEM/SET button to select the desired station, the display will show [MEM] and the preset number.

LOCK BUTTONS

Press and hold the HOLD button for 5 seconds to lock/unlock the buttons. If the buttons are locked, [HOLD] will appear on the display.

USING HEADPHONES

Turn the volume to the lowest setting. Plug the headphones into the radio and adjust the volume up to your chosen level.
Note: The speaker will not operate when headphones are fitted. Headphones are not included.
