OPERATION
R84084 RADIO
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK
See Figure 1, page 16.
 Make sure the radio is turned OFF.
 Insert the battery pack into the product.
 Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack
snap in place and that battery pack is secured in the
product before beginning operation.
 Depress the latches to remove the battery pack.
ON/OFF/VOLUME
See Figure 2, page 16.
 Turn the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn the
radio on and increase volume.
 Turn the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob counterclockwise to
decrease radio volume and to turn the radio off.
MODE SELECTOR BUTTON
See Figure 2, page 16.
Turn the radio ON and push the MODE button to the desired
setting FM, AM, or AUX.
DIGITAL DISPLAY/LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
See Figure 3, page 16.
When the radio is switched ON, the digital display illumi-
nates, indicating the radio mode and frequency/channel
setting.
NOTE: A flashing low battery indicator will be displayed
when the battery needs to be charged. To avoid deep dis-
charge, remove the battery pack from the radio and charge
immediately.

CHANNEL SELECTION
See Figure 4, page 16.
To change radio channels manually:
 Select AM or FM and turn the SCAN selector clockwise
To change radio channels using the SCAN feature:
 Turn the SCAN selector clockwise or counterclockwise
AUXILIARY MODE
See Figure 5 - 6, page 16.
You can connect MP3 players, CD players, and other audio
devices to your radio using the auxiliary connection cable.
To use auxiliary (AUX) mode:
 Turn radioand music device ON.
 Push the MODE button to select AUX mode.
 Plug the auxiliary cable into the music device.
NOTE: Adjust volume to desired level using either the radio
or music device. An MP3 player may be stored in the holder
on the back of the radio.
When not in use, the auxiliary cable can be wrapped around
the cord retainer and plugged into the storage port on the
back of the radio.
NOTE: The auxiliary cable cannot be removed from the radio.
