Troubleshooting

If any abnormality is found on the machine, immediately take action to solve it. Find out the cause of the abnormality to
prevent the recurrence of malfunction.
If the cause of malfunction is unknown or for inquiry on solution item with mark "*" on the list below, consult your nearest
Hitachi dealer.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT attempt to adjust or disassemble hydraulics, electrical and electronic parts.
Problem
Counterweight removal/install alarm
activates during operation.
Counterweight removal/install
device does not operate or it moves
abnormally.
While parking the machine with
counterweight removed, the cylinder
becomes fully retracted.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Cause
Cylinder's inside pressure increases.
Sensor or wiring harness
Hydraulic parts
The pilot control shut-off lever is NOT
in the LOCK position.
Counterweight removal/install switch
is turned OFF.
Stop valve is open.

Stop valve is closed.

Solution
Set the lifting yoke to REST position.
Fully close the stop valve.
* Repair or replace

Pull the pilot shut-off lever to the LOCK
position.
Turn the switch ON.
Fully close the stop valve.

Fully open the stop valve.
* Repair or replace
* Consult your nearest Hitachi dealer.
