ABOUT THE BOARDS REPLACING
When the boards installed in this unit are defective, exchange the
complete mounted board.
However some mounted parts are exchangeable. Refer to "EX-
PLODED VIEWS" (page 13) for exchangeable mounted parts.
ABOUT THE FIRMWARE REWRITING WHEN REPLAC-
ING THE MAIN BOARD
When the MAIN board of this unit is replaced, perform processing
according to the following procedure.
Note: The contents which are not opened to customers are in-
cluded in the following procedure. After you are cautious of
handling of information, execute work under the suffi cient
administration.
1. About the preparing of fi les
Download the fi les used by this work from the homepage of TISS.
When the fi les cannot be confi rmed by TISS, confi rm to the service
headquarters.
2. Operation procedure
Do work in the state before assembling the MAIN board to main
unit.
Procedure:
1. Insert SD card in the card reader connected to PC.
Note: Release the lock switch of SD card. When update is completed
where the lock switch is released, the model setting fi le is deleted
automatically.
2. Unzip the model setting fi le to get folder. Open the folder and
choose the folder which suits the following conditions out of it.

Korean ICD-LX30_KR3(KR4)
Chinese ICD-LX30_CN(CNA)
3. Copy the "DEVINFO.UPG" fi le included in the folder selected
at step 2 to SD card.
4. Insert SD card in which the "DEVINFO.UPG"fi le was copied
to the card slot on the MAIN board.
5. Assemble LCD501 to the MAIN board.

6. Apply 3.1 V to the battery terminals on the MAIN board from
regulated dc power supply.
7. Update starts automatically.
8. "Success" is displayed after the update is successful. At this
time, the "DEVINFO.UPG" fi le is deleted automatically.
9. Stop the dc regulated power supply.
10. Apply 3.1 V to the battery terminals on the MAIN board from
regulated dc power supply.
11. While pressing the [FF/
[HOLD] switch.
12. Confi rm the fi rmware version, model name and destination.
13. Stop the voltage supply from regulated dc power supply to re-
