Precautions when Converting the Projects

• When converting FX3U projects using GX Works3, be careful because the program (instructions and devices) may be
changed.
• When converting projects, the number of steps may increase and writing to the FX5U may be impossible. Check the
number of steps after replacement.
• Characters used for the label name in GX Works2 may correspond to reserved words or illegal characters in GX Works3. In
that case, change the label name.
For precautions regarding instruction and device conversion, refer to Page 92 Instruction Replacement List.

Precautions when Replacing the Parameters

When converting FX3U projects to FX5U projects, the setting data of the parameters (PC parameters and network
parameters) and special modules (intelligent function modules) will be deleted. Therefore, it is necessary to set the data with
GX Works3 again.
Also, GX Works3 does not support the following parameters of the FX3U, so it is necessary to set these parameters with GX
Works3 again.
• Network parameter (CC-Link)
• Intelligent function module parameter (AnyWireASLINK)
