Changing t he audio
language
Some DVDs have multiple audio languages
you can choose from.
DISPLAY
TOP MENU
MENU
During playback, press (AUDIO)
repeatedly to select the desired audio
language.
The current audio language is displayed at
the upper left.
Example: an audio language display
AUDIO 1/2: Dolby D 5.1 ENGLISH
The f ormat of t he sound source
(Dolby D, DTS, or LPCM ) may appear.
When the display for the language code
appears, input the language code
corresponding to the desired language
(page 34).
Notes
• You can sw it ch t he audio language only if
mult iple audio languages are recorded on t he
DVD.
• You can also change t he audio languages by
using t he DVD menu (page 17) or t he set up
screen* (page 24).
* You can change t o a specif ic audio language
using a set up screen, only if t he language is
included in bot h t he disc and t he set up screen.
• This f unct ion varies or may not w ork, depending
on t he DVD.

Changing angles

Some DVDs have multiple alternative angles
recorded for certain scenes. If you have set
"ANGLE MARK" to "ON" (page 21), a notice
appears for 3 seconds at the scene. If "ANGLE
MARK" is not set to "ON," the notice does not
appear at the scene.

During playback of a DVD having
multiple alternative angles recorded,
press (ANGLE) w hen a notice appears.
The number of the currently selected angle
is displayed at the upper right.

Press (ANGLE) repeatedly to select your
favorite angle number, w hile the angle
number is displayed.
Each time you press (ANGLE), the angle
number switches.

Notes
• You can sw it ch t he angle only if mult iple angles
are recorded on t he DVD.
• The t ot al number of recorded angles dif f ers
depending on t he DVD and scene.
• You can only sw it ch t he angle during normal
playback. You cannot sw it ch t he angle during
f ast f orw ard/reverse playback.
• When t he select ed scene w it h mult i angles
appears, t he angle is aut omat ically sw it ched t o
t he angle number you select ed in st ep 2.
