adapter product.

HP AD278A PCI MUX 8-Port Adapter Installation Prerequisites
Before installing the AD278A PCI MUX 8-port adapter you need to plan your setup, and ensure that the
required hardware and software are available.
Planning Your Setup
Read the following information before installing the AD278A PCI MUX 8-port adapter:
Number of components: You can connect up to eight peripherals to an AD278A PCI MUX 8-port adapter.
Location of components: You can connect peripherals at a distance from the adapter, but you must ensure
that the cables used to connect are properly constructed. To achieve the greatest reliability over distance,
follow the guidelines given below

Cables must be shielded
•
Cables must have low capacitance
•
Cables must be designed specifically for serial data transmission
