Assembling the DC input power cable for PowerEdge XR-series heater To construct the DC input power cable for the heater, perform the following steps: Steps 1. Strip the insulation from the ends of the DC power wires exposing approximately 0.394 - 0.433 inches (10 - 11 mm) of copper wire.
  • Page 8 2. Slide the PowerEdge XR-series heater into the PSU bay 1 (left bay) until the release latch snaps into place. CAUTION: The PowerEdge XR-series heater must be installed in PSU bay 1 (left bay). ® 3. Insert the heater input plug into the heater connector and press the input plug until it clicks in place. Use a VELCRO strap to loop the cable to the PowerEdge XR-series heater handle.
