Voice Names

A voice name is an audio recording you assign to a number in your Phonebook
by speaking into your i80s phone. You can then call the number by speaking the
words you recorded into the phone. See step 6 of "Adding Phonebook Entries"
on page 43 for more information on creating a voice name.
The Voice Name icon p appearing to the left of one of the number type icons
indicates that a voice name is associated with the Phonebook entry:

Accessing Your Phonebook

From the idle screen, if PHBK is one of your display options, press
under PHBK.
Or,
Press m.

to scroll to Phonebook.

under SELECT.
You can also access the Phonebook while you are on an active call. Press m
R
then press
to scroll to Phonebook and press
you to the Phonebook screen. From this screen, you can view, sort, add, edit,
and delete Phonebook entries, check Phonebook capacity, or make calls.

About Phonebook Entries

Each Phonebook entry may contain the following information:
The name associated with the entry — Typically, this is the name of the
person whose number you are storing in the Phonebook.
The type of number to be stored — Mobile, Private, Work, Main, Home,
Pager, Fax, Other, or Talkgroup.
The number to be stored — Every Phonebook entry must contain a
number. This number may be any type of phone number, Private ID, or
Talkgroup number.
