Messaging Services

Your Nextel phone offers two choices in text messaging services with Nextel
Mobile Messaging—Text and Numeric Messaging and Nextel Two-Way
Messaging.
• Text and Numeric Messaging allows others to send you a message that is
displayed directly on your Nextel phone.
• Two-Way Messaging uses the Nextel Online to provide immediate contact,
even when you can't make or take a call. Two-Way Messaging allows you
to send, receive, and respond to text messages quickly and discreetly, at the
push of a button.

With Two-Way Messaging, you can:
NOTE: You can initiate or reply to messages only within the
continental United States. International travelers with two-way
messaging capabilities can receive one-way text messages
while traveling abroad by setting their International Messaging
Preference.
• Send and receive messages (up to 500 characters in length) with pre-set
replies and respond to them at the touch of a button.
• Create and store your own frequently used responses that let you send
informative answers without keying in text.
• Send messages to one individual from your phone or contact several at
once from any email system or nextel.com.
• Respond to messages when you're in a meeting or noisy location.

International Messaging Preference
Two-Way Messaging customers with international dialing capabilities have
access to their messages while traveling abroad. By changing the Message
Preference (My Destination), while outside of the domestic United States, all
