1. Use the green knife cassette
6GK1901-1GB01 (5.1 mm knife
clearance) in the stripping tool.
7. Keeping the stripping tool closed, pull it
off the end of the cable along with the
jacket and remnants of the shield.
11. Open the holder cover until it latches
and push in the wires according to their
color coding* as far as the limit stop in
the holder cover.

16. Insert a 2.5 mm screwdriver into the
hole in the locking mechanism and turn
it as far as the limit stop.
17. The connector is correctly locked when
the opening of the locking mechanism
is pointing to the side and the surfaces
are flush with the surface of the
connector.
Replace the knife cassette if the cut edges
become ragged or after approx.·
• 1500 operations on cables with PVC
outer jackets·
• 150 operations on cables with PUR
outer jackets
When using devices without a securing collar, make sure to provide strain relief for the cable as closely as possible to the
device.

2. Take the stripping tool in your right hand.
3. Measure the cable length against the
measuring template. Use your left index
finger as the limit stop.
8. If the white filler is not removed with the
insulation, remove it and the transparent
protective foil with your hand.
9. Cut off the dummy cores.
12. Push the cable into position as shown
in the picture (see arrows). Press down
the contact elements as far as the limit
stop to contact the wires.
13. Make sure the cable shield is
connected to the shield contacts and
the jacket to the strain relief mandrel of
the plug.
False! Correct!
Verifying of the assembly
Take care that the strain relief is ensured by
means of the coating of the cable. The
mesh of the screen must not be visible.
The piercing contacts of the FC RJ45 plug
can be released and recontacted up to 10
times. Cable ends that have already been
pierced must not be used again but must be
cut off.
Don't pull while unlocking the plug.

4. Insert the cable into the stripping tool.
Your left index finger is the limit stop.
Tighten the stripping tool fully
5. To strip the insulation, turn the tool in the
direction of the arrow.
6. To strip the insulation, turn the tool in the
direction of the arrow.

10. Spread out the wires according to the
color markings on the contact
elements of the FC RJ45 plug.
Make sure to observe a length of
approximately 18 mm.
14. Close the cover by pressing together
the two halves of the lock. In doing so,
make sure not to exert pressure on or
damage the latch spring.
15. Turn the locking mechanism with your
hand as far as possible in the direction
of the arrow.
Releasing the plug
Insert the plug into the socket and push the
spring down to unlock the plug and release
it from the socket again.
If space is limited, release the plug using a
screwdriver (2.5 mm-wide blade).
To create a crossover cable, combine the
wires in the connector at one end according
to the following scheme:
Connect white with yellow
Connect blue with orange.
