METHOD OF USAGE

 
01.  
Remove   t he   p ower   c ord   a nd   f oot   s witch   f rom   t he   c ase   ( by   r emoving   t he   c over   f rom   t he   c ase).  
 
02.  
Ground   the   cutter   to   a   water   pipe   or   other   electrically   grounded   object   with   the   grounding  
cord.  
 
03.  
Plug   t he   p ower   i nto   a n   e lectrical   o utlet   ( AC230V).  
 
04.  
Turn  on  the  Power  Switch  (a  green  LED  will  light  up  inside  the  switch  indicating  that  the  power  
is   s witched   o n).  
 
05.  
Remove   t he   b lade   c ap   ( cover).  
 
06.  
Check   t o   m ake   s ure   t hat   t he   h andheld   u nit   i s   i n   a   s afe   p lace.  
 
07.  
Ultrasonic   w aves   w ill   b e   g enerated   w hen   t he   f oot   s witch   i s   p ressed   ( indicated   b y   t he   l ighting   o f  
the  green  generator  lamp).  Cutting  can  now  be  performed.  Generation  of  ultrasonic  waves  will  
stop   w hen   t he   f oot   s witch   i s   r eleased.  
 
 
01.  
Check   t hat   t he   p ower   s witch   i s   o ff.  
 
02.  
Loosen  the  blade  locking  screw  with  the  hexagonal  Allen  wrench  provided,  and  remove  the  old  
blade.   ( Leave   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp   a t   t he   e nd   o f   t he   h andheld   u nit)  
 
03.  
Insert   t he   n ew   b lade   a ll   t he   w ay   i nto   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp.  
 
04.  
Align   the   position   of   the   blade   locking   screw   so   that   it   makes   contact   with   the   flat   ground  
surface   a round   t he   p eriphery   o f   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp.  
 
05.  
After   c hecking   t hat   t he   b lade   a nd   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp   a re   l ocated   a ll   t he   w ay   i n,   s ecure   t he  
blade   l ocking   s crew   b y   t ightening   w ith   t he   h exagonal   A llen   w rench.    
 
NOTE:   The   usage   of   blades   other   than   those   purchased   from   Honda   Japan   may   result   in  
abnormal   generation   of   ultrasonic   waves.   Honda   Japan   will   not   be   held   responsible   for   any  
incidents   o f   m alfunction,   b lade   d amage   o r   p ossible   i njuries   d ue   t o   s uch   u sage.
