Basic operations
The indication on the rightm ost end of the status bar sho ws the unit's transport status as follo ws:
Icon Status
Playback m ode.
Stop m ode.
Pause m ode.
Fast forward/backward playback m ode.

Slo w m otion playback m ode.

N ote that pressing O N SCREE N again brings up the m enu bar under the status bar, fro m w hich you can access
various functions.

• To dismiss the status bar:
Press O N SCREE N until the status bar is dismissed.
To move back the playback position during DVD VIDEO playback
[One touch replay function]
During playback of a DVD VIDE O disc, you can m ove back the playback position 10 seconds fro m the current position.
¶ During DVD VIDE O playback
Press 3.
The playback position m oves back 10 seconds before the current position.
N ote that this function w orks only within the sa m e title, though it w orks betw een chapters.
If you press 3 within 10 seconds fro m the beginning of a title, playback starts fro m the beginning of the title.
NOTES
• This function works only with DVD VIDEO discs.
• When appears on the TV screen:
This function m ay not w ork with so m e DVD VIDE O discs.

To change the brightness of the display window

You can dim the brightness of the display windo w.
Press 5 or ∞ while holding down ANGLE.
You can select the display windo w brightness fro m four levels, or off. If the brightness is set to off, nothing will be
sho w n on the display.
