PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
5. Tighten the nuts of skid to the specified
torque.
Tightening torque:
Nut:
16 Nm (1.6 m·kgf, 12 ft·lbf)
REPLACING THE SHEAR
BOLTS
WARNING
• Do not look into or put your hands
near the impeller or auger when they
are rotating.
• When removing snow lodged in a
rotating
remove the engine switch key and
wait until all parts have stopped
moving.
• Position the Snowblower on a level
surface.
• Wear gloves when using the clean-
out tool (lodged snow remover).
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Be sure to use the clean-out tool
(lodged snow remover) to remove snow
and other obstacles from the auger
housing.
3. Remove the lock nuts, the shear bolts
and the washers.
1. Lock nut
2. Shear bolt
3. Washer
4. Install the new shear bolts with their
washers.
