Operating other manufacturers' video equipment

By changing the remote control signals from preset ones to the other manufacturers', you can use the remote control supplied
for this system to operate other manufacturers' VCRs, CATV converters, DBS tuners, and TVs. (For TVs, see page 20.)
• When operating other video equipment, aim the remote control directly at the remote control sensor on each equipment.
Refer also to the instruction manuals supplied with your equipment.
• Manufacturers' codes are subject to change without notice. If they are changed, this remote control cannot operate the
equipment.

7 For operating your CATV converter or DBS tuner
1 Slide the remote control mode selector to "CATV/DBS."

2 Press and hold TV
Keep it pressed until step 4 is finished.
3 Press TV CONTROL.
4 Press Number buttons (1-9, 0) to enter a manufacturer's code
(2 digit).
See the list below to find the code.
Examples: For a GI Jerrold product, press 0, then 1.
For a Sony, press 2, then 0.
5 Release TV
6 Try to operate your CATV converter or DBS tuner by pressing
TV .
When your CATV converter or DBS tuner turns on or off, you have entered the
correct code.
If there are more than one code listed for your brand of CATV converter
or DBS tuner, try each one until you enter the correct one.
