7.3 Installing the turbocharger

Remove cover from oil connection.

Inspect the lifting gear.
u
Secure lifting gear to the suspension eyes of the bearing casing and
u
of the turbine-end foot.
CAUTION
Oil orifices
There is an orifice for adjusting the oil pressure in each of the two oil
supply pipes of the bearing casing. When the cartridge group, the bear-
ing casing or the turbocharger-is being fitted to the engine, it must be
ensured that the orifices specified for the turbocharger are installed in
both oil supply pipes.
Check that the oil orifices have been correctly installed.

Adjust the turbocharger on the engine.

Tighten fixing screws in foot.

NOTICE
The fastening specifications for the foot screws are supplied to the en-
ginebuilder by ABB Turbocharging and given in his manual.
Fasten all gas, air and oil lines in accordance with the enginebuilder's

instructions.
Version with compressor wheel cooling system
Fit the air supply line. (See also chapter entitled Preliminary remarks /

Layout and functionality)
Plug in cable connector on speed sensor.
