4-4. SELF DIAGNOSTICS OF CPU-188
BOARD (OPTION: SXA-120)

4-4-1. Checking the CPU

2 Supply the power (+5V). If the power is already
supplied, press RESET switch S2 to start the check.
Check the CPU in the following order:
1. ROM CHECK
2. UPPER RAM CHECK
3. LOWER RAM CHECK

4. E PROM CHECK
D1 to D4 turn on as the above steps proceed. If an error
occurs, D1 to D4 blink and the check terminates. If no
errors occur, LEDs D1 to D8 turn on.

2 Set bit 1 and 2 to check the corresponding port 0 to 3 as
follows:

3 Short the input and output of the port to be checked.

4 Supply the power (+5V). If the power is already
supplied, press RESET switch S2 to start the check.
5 If no errors occur, LEDs D1 to D4 corresponding to
ports 0 to 3 turn on. If an error occurs, the LED
blinks.

4-4-3. Factory Default Settings

The following information is displayed on the LEDs as
lower significant bit settings. Check the factory default
settings when installing the SX-M700 and SX-M100 on
site.
