If you disable the PIN requirement, you
remove protection of personal data on your
SIM card. Anyone can then use your phone
and access your personal data.
When the PIN is enabled, you are prompted to
enter your PIN each time you turn on your
i3000plus phone. Until a valid PIN is entered,
you can use the phone only to make emergency
calls depending on the network.
After the PIN is accepted, the Ready screen
displays.

Remove the battery cover and battery. See "Detaching the Battery" on
page 15.

With the antenna facing away
from you, and the back of the
i3000plus phone exposed and fac-
ing up, locate the SIM cover and
gently push it forward.

Lift the SIM cover up.
