Measuring the body fat and water percentage
(fig. B, C & D)
These measurements are an indication of your level of fitness
and your physical health. Consult your physician or a qualified
dietician for appropriate advice regarding further action.
The measurements are performed using the technique of BIA,
a highly reliable method for analyzing the composition of the
human body. BIA, short for bioelectrical impedance analysis,
measures the resistance to the flow of a small, harmless
low-level electrical current using the built-in electrodes.
Personal data like gender, height and age, form the key factors
to the analysis results processed by the software program.
When using this application, we recommend that you take
regular measurements, always around the same time of day
and under the same conditions.
Refer to the tables below for an indicative interpretation of
the analysis results.
Note:
– The application only works if you are barefoot.
– Excessive drinking or eating, exercising, medical
conditions, use of medication, the female menstrual cycle
etc., have an effect on the measurement results.
– Warning! This application must not be used by pregnant
women and people with a cardiac pacemaker or any other
medical device implanted in their body.
