Pre-Start Checks - Panasonic Secon H Series Installation And Setup

Please check the following before commencing startup.
Power must be supplied to the monobloc unit for at least 8 hours before start up in or-

der to provide sufficient power to the compressor heater
Check all electrical wiring and connections

Make sure all auto air vents are open and the pressure relief valves are closed
•
Make sure the system is filled with the correct coolant fluid to around 2 Bar
•
Check the expansion vessel is large enough. The Panasonic unit contains an expansion
•
tank large enough for 150 litres for single fan and 200 litres for twin fan models. For lar-
ger water volumes or more than 7m height difference then an extra tank is required.
Check all fuses and circuit breakers.

Once you are in installer mode set the pump to run in Air Purge
In the Pump maximum speed menu you can set the pump to On, Off or Air Purge. Set
the Air Purge mode, open the 3 way valve manually and let the system run to get rid of
any air. When this is finished check the water flow is sufficient using the On mode with
the 3 way valve closed. Remember—2.9l/hr per KW is what you want.
