5.3 Installation of Your Hood on
the Wall
• The wall should be flat, upright and of
sufficient bearing strength.
• The depth of the drill holes should match
the bolt length.
• The attached bolts and dowels are suit-
able for use on walls made of brick. Use
suitable fastening dowels and bolts for
other constructions (e.g. plaster, plate,
porous concrete, etc.).

Before you drill the wall, make

sure that electricity, gas or water
pipes do not pass around the
points you plan to drill.
Draw a center position line perpendicular
to the wall from the ceiling to the lower
edge of the hood (Figure 7).
There is a notch in the middle of the chim-
ney connection plate. Place the midpoint
of this notch on the chimney connection

plate on the line you draw perpendicular
to the wall. Align it horizontally and mark
the holes on which the chimney connec-
tion sheet will be mounted with a pencil
(Figure 7 / a).
Drill the marked points with a Ø6mm drill
and hammer 2 Ø6mm plastic dowels into
these holes (Fig. 7 / a). Secure the chim-
ney connection sheet to the wall with 3.9
x 22 screws (Figure 7 / a).
To drill the hanger holes of the hood, stick
the mounting template to the surface on
which the device will be mounted and
mark the mounting holes (Figure 7 / b).
Drill the hanger holes with a Ø8mm
drill and hammer the dowels (Figure 7 /
b). Screw 2 pieces of 4.8 x 50 hanging
screws with a 5 mm gap between the
screw head and the wall (Figure 7 / b).

To mount the device on the wall, loosen
the screws of the hanger plates attached
on the motor cabin, pull upwards and then
fix them again.

Open the side suction glass of the device
and remove the aluminum oil filter
(Page 11 / Figure 3).
