Entering Radio ID Alias

Since the radio is being used as part of a dual-radio system, it is required that the radio have a
"Radio ID Alias". This is located in the Radio Configuration->Radio Wide->General screen
(Figure 3-4) in ASTRO 25 Mobile CPS. The Alias will be momentarily displayed on the control head
when a radio switch occurs. This will indicate to the user which radio will be accessible from the
control head. (For example: If the dual-radio system is comprised of a VHF-band mobile for
communication with the police dispatch center and a UHF-band mobile for communication with Fire/
Rescue, then the "Radio ID Alias" could be "POLICE" in the VHF mobile and "FIRE/RES" in the UHF
mobile.)
