    Viewing the Display Screen This list identifies the symbols you’ll see on your display screen. shows your current signal strength. The more lines you have, the stronger your signal. means your phone cannot find a signal. indicates the call is on hold. indicates a call is in progress.

When your phone finds a signal, it automatically enters standby mode. At this point, you are ready to begin making and receiving calls.

    Charging the Battery Your phone comes with a rechargeable battery. You should charge the battery as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone. Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off and you will lose all the information you were just working on.

    Changing the Accent Plate To remove, press down the accent plate release latch with a finger, then hook and pull the accent plate straight forward. Note: Be careful not to damage your fingernail when you remove the accent plate. To install, insert the accent plate into the opening on the front of the phone and press down firmly until the latch snaps into place.
