9.18 Dismantling the chain brake sensor

Dismantle the drive wheel cover, saw chain and
bar.
Separate the crankcase.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".

Unplug the connector (A).
See figure 40.

Dismantle the chain brake.
See "Dismantling the chain brake".

Remove the chain brake sensor.
See figure 41.
Cleaning and inspection
• Clean and check the sensor. The sensor must
always be replaced with a new one if cracked
or showing signs of other defects. Always use
original spare parts.

Place the sensor in the crankcase.

Assemble the chain brake.

Plug in connector (A) and place it in its attachment
on the chain brake cover.
