    Charging the Battery NOTE: Do not use your device until you have charged the battery for at least 2.5 hours. Your device has an integrated, rechargeable, lithium-ion battery. Before you use your device for the first time, you must charge the battery. Use the battery icon charge.
  • Page 10 NOTE: You can charge your device through the USB connector on your computer only if the battery icon indicates your device has at least a 25 percent charge remaining. If it is less than 25 percent, you must use the AC adapter to charge your device.

    Dell DJ™/Dell Pocket DJ™ Product Software CD. Double-click setup.exe. When the Dell Pocket DJ installation screen appears, click OK to start the software installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen and click OK, Next, or Yes when prompted.

    Connect your device to a computer to transfer data files or audio tracks. See "Transferring Music to the Dell Pocket DJ" on page 17 for information on transferring data files and audio tracks. To connect the device to a computer: Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to the USB connector on your device.

    Performing a Reset If your device stops responding, perform a reset. NOTICE: Files or tracks that are being transferred may be lost but other data is normally retained. To perform a reset, insert the end of a thin object, such as a straightened paper clip, into the reset button.

    NOTE: Synchronization is a one-way process. It will only copy files from the computer to the Dell Pocket DJ. It will not copy files from the Dell Pocket DJ to the computer. Select Help on the Musicmatch toolbar for more information.

    Managing Files from the Main Menu The Main Menu of the Dell Pocket DJ is the starting place for the Dell Pocket DJ operations. To get to the Main Menu, press the Home button on your Dell Pocket DJ. Music Library is your window to the music tracks stored on your Dell Pocket Now Playing provides you access to the currently playing track or selected tracks.
