Adjustment Method (DADF)

Preparation or Creation of Test Chart

Prepare a test chart. If there is no test chart, create a test chart.
Create a test chart that has a 10 mm smaller rectangle from the edge of A4 or LTR paper.
NOTE:
Be sure to write a character or mark to identify the printed image direction.

Adjusting the Height

■ Pre-check

Check whether the front and rear document glass spacers provided under the bottom of the
DADF are in close contact with the document glass when the DADF is closed.
If visual check is difficult, perform the check with reference to the next and subsequent pages.
CAUTION:
• Use plain paper.
• Insert a sheet of paper in such a manner that the sheet material portion of the
stream reading glass is concealed.
NOTE:
Insert a sheet of paper between the DADF scan glass and the document glass spacers
(two) and pull out the sheet. It is recommended that slight resistance is felt when
pulling out the sheet.
