    Guernsey Electricity are installing new Pay As You Go Meters that will make it easier for you to operate and to keep track of how much electricity you use. The Meters also feature ‘Friendly’ periods which mean that you will not be left without electricity during periods when top-ups aren’t possible, for example in the middle of the night.
  • Page 3 The display The meter display alternates between: • the current rate and the balance reading • and emergency credit, if activated. When displaying the balance the meter shows if you are: Credit or in Debt (-) 5.41 0.41 - BAL Pressing the green button cycles through the display.

    Emergency credit FRIENDLY TIME You can activate the Emergency Credit (£2.00) when the credit shown on the meter is below £1.00.
