You must remove, replace, or loosen as many as xx screws when you service the parts described in this chapter.
  • Page 28 Remove the two bottom rubber feet from the computer (1). Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 7.0 screws (2) from under the feet. Remove the two screw covers (3) and two Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (4) from the bottom edge of the bottom cover.

    WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP. IMPORTANT: Removing a battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause loss of information.

    Lift the right side of the system board (1), and then pull the board up and to the right to remove it from the computer (2). If you need to remove the USB cables, disconnect the bottom (1) and top (2) cables from the system board.
