3. Installation and commissioning

 The pulse generator versions IN-Sxx are inserted sideways into the
mounting of the index until they click into place (see Fig. 1).

 The pulse generators S1xRx / S2xRx / QA E1 / RVG-ST E1 are supplied
ready for operation together with the gas meters.
 The cables are to be connected as per Table 1, Terminal assignment.
 For connecting the devices, use a screened cable pursuant to
IEC EN 60079-14.

WARNING!
If the pulse generators are used in hazardous areas, they have to be
connected to intrinsically safe circuits.
Safety barriers must be equipped for ignition protection rating
Ex ib IIC or Ex ia IIC.
