5.1.7 Cutting motor
The blade motor is a very efficient brushless motor.
The nominal speed is 2,300 rpm to achieve the opti-
mal mowing result.
The motor cannot be repaired and has to be re-
placed if it is faulty.
5.1.8 Wheel motors
The 2 wheel motors are of the brushless DC motor
type. This guarantees a long service life and mini-
mal maintenance. The motors are supplied as a unit
together with gearbox, wheel motor end cover, gas-
ket, hub and cable.
Right and left wheel motors are identical (and con-
sequently have the same article number as spare
parts).
The motors cannot be repaired but are replaced as
a unit.
5.1.9 Charging station
Automower® generation 3 is charged with DC power
(unlike the AC power on Automower® G2 models).
This means that it is very important to always con-
nect the plus and minus cables correctly to the
charging strips on the mower and the contact strips
in the charging station. (1)
The F signal (2) and N signal (3) are generated by
2 antenna cables that are fitted inside the antenna
plate.
The cabling in the charging station is connected to
a contact strip that is connected to the charging sta-
tion's circuit board. The cabling in the charging sta-
tion is supplied as a unit.
