SECTION 7: MAINTENANCE

Always
DISCONNECT
before
servicing,
doing maintenance to reduce risk of
accidental injury or electrocution.
For optimum performance from this tool,
this maintenance schedule must be strictly
followed.
Ongoing
To minimize your risk of injury and maintain
proper tool operation, shut down the tool
immediately if you ever observe any of the
items below and fix the problem before
continuing operations.
Loose mounting bolts.
Worn switches.
Worn or damaged wires.
Damaged drive strip.
Any other unsafe conditions.
Monthly Check
Drive belt tension, damage, or wear.
Clean/vacuum dust buildup off motor.
Cleaning
Cleaning the Model T32006 is relatively
easy. Vacuum excess wood chips and
sawdust, and wipe off the remaining dust
with a dry cloth. If any resin has built up,
use a resin dissolving cleaner to remove it.

Lubrication
An essential part of lubrication is cleaning
the components before lubricating them.
This step is critical because grime and
chips build up in lubricated components,
which makes them hard to move. Simply
adding more lubricant will not result in
smooth moving parts. Clean components
in this section before lubricating with rec-
ommended products like the one shown
on Page
20.
DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER
BEFORE PERFORMING LUBRICATION.
Quill & Column Surfaces
Oil Type .............. SB1365 or ISO 68 Equiv.
Oil Amount ...................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .. 8 Hrs. of Operation
Move the spindle all the way down to
access the smooth surfaces of the quill
(see Figure 20). Remove headstock from
column to access entire length of column.
Clean both with mineral spirits and rags.

After cleaning, allow mineral spirits to dry,
then apply a thin coat of oil to the surfaces.
