Quickly Switching to Silent Mode

Silent mode is convenient when you wish to stop
the phone from making noise, in a theater for
example.
In Idle mode, press and hold the
"Silent Mode" message and the Vibration icon (
display.
In Silent mode, your phone changes the sound
settings as follows:
Option
Alert Type (Menu 4.3)
Keypad Tone (Menu 4.4)
Message Tone (Menu 4.5)
Power off tone
Error Tone (Menu 4.7.1)
To exit and reactivate the previous sound settings,
press and hold the
key again until "Exit Silent
Mode" appears. The Vibration icon (

Note: When you turn your phone off, Silent Mode is

Selecting Functions
and Options
Your phone offers a set of functions that allow you

function you are currently using; the label on the
bottom line of the display just above each key
indicates its current role.
