Paper Surface Detection Control

Paper surface is detected by the paper level sensor (PS6) in the pickup assembly. When the lifter rises to push up detection flag
of the pickup roller holder by surface of paper, the paper level sensor (PS6) detects top surface of paper and the lifter stops to
keep the top surface of paper at the pickup position.

Lifter Control

■ Moving Up Control
The lifter rises when the compartment open/close switch (SW1) and the compartment open/close sensor (PS8) detect the
compartment is set. The lifter stops when the paper level sensor (PS6) detects the top surface of paper placed on the lifter. The
deck lifter upper limit sensor 1/2 (PS4/3) is used to prevent damage when the lifter is not stopped after the sensor lever passes
through the paper level sensor (PS6) with some reasons.
■ Moving Down Control
The lifter starts to move down when the compartment open switch is pushed until the lifter passes through the sensor lever of
the relay paper sensor (PS5). When paper is supplied in this condition, the lifter moves down to the position where the paper
passes through the sensor lever as the paper pushes the sensor lever. The lifter keeps moving down until the lifter passes through
the deck lifter lower position sensor (PS9) which detects maximum paper supply position each time when paper is supplied.
