Installation and Handling Guide
Before installing this Processor Heat Sink in your basic processing unit (including NEC
Express Server), carefully read through and understand the precautions for use described
in the Getting Started supplied with the basic processing unit to use the product safely.
We recommend that you have your local service/maintenance center do this expansion
work.
If you disregard precautions, it may cause malfunction of the device, human body injury, fire
and/or damage to the machine parts around the device.
Make sure to unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet
and unplug the cables connected to external devices from
the machine before installing or removing the product.
Touching the device of the NEC Express server with its
power plug connected to a power source may cause an
electric shock even if the NEC Express server is powered
off.
Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the NEC
Express server under any circumstances other than
described in this guide. Failure to follow these instructions
may cause an electric shock or fires as well as malfunctions
of the server.
Keep this Guide in a safe place.

856-129899-103-00 Installing the Processor Heat Sink 1. Put the heat sink on the CPU. The direction to install the heat sink is predetermined. Check the direction of the heat sink when installing it. Check 装置前面 装置背面 2. Secure the heat sink with four screws. Temporarily tighten the four screws in the order shown in the image below, as forming a diagonal cross, and then, tighten them securely. - Page 4 856-129899-103-00 4. Remove the FAN cover. 5. Insert Additional FAN straightly to a fan bracket. 6. Set FAN cable tightly to a Mother Board's FAN Connector.
