Important

• Before connecting to mains power
ensure thet the handstick is in upright
position (i.e. appliance is switched off).
• Always remove the mains plug from the
wall socket before turning the polisher
(e.g. for changing brushes or polishing
discs).
• Ensure that the mains cord does not get
under the appliance while operating.
Avoid hands, feet, hairs, articles of
dress, etc. to come into contact with the
rotating brushes or discs.
Getting the floor polisher ready for use:
• Connecting the handstick: fig. 1, 2, 3.
Screw the nut at the lower end hand tight.
(Do not use tools to prevent damage.)
• Positioning the dustbag: fig. 4, 5.
• Fixing brushes or polishing discs ("Click!"):

• Unwind the mains cord (fig. 8) and insert the
mains plug into the wall socket. (Advice: For
extra safety loop the cord around the handle
as shown in fig. 9.)
• Switching on: press the handstick (1) and
bend it backwards (2) (fig. 10).
To switch off: put the handstick back into a
vertical position (fig. 11).
Polishing
- Clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner.
Remove stains, etc. (fig. 12, 13).
- Sprinkle the required quantity of (high quality)
fluid floor polish onto the floor (fig. 14). Do not
take too much polish.
- Use the hard brushes to rub in (fig. 15).
- When the polish is dry, rub out with the soft
brushes (fig. 16).
- You can give wooden floors (parquetry) a high
gloss using the felt polishing discs (fig. 17).

• Always make straight lanes (fig. 18). Circular
movements may give disappointing results.
• To wheel the appliance without polishing, put
the handstick in a vertical position (1) and then
tilt the appliance backwards (2) (fig. 19).
Storage
- Wind the mains cord around the storage hooks
(fig. 20).
- If you wish you may remove the brushes and
polishing discs (fig. 21) before storing the
appliance.
Cleaning
- Remove the mains plug from the wall socket
before cleaning the appliance.
You may use a damp cloth, if required with
some detergent.
- The brushes may be cleaned with water and a
detergent.
- The felt polishing pads may be cleaned by
brushing them with soapy water. Then wipe
the discs off with a damp cloth.
- Let the brushes and discs dry in a horizontal
position.
Emptying the dustbag
While rubbing, your floor polisher also brushes
dust and particles of polish from the floor,
gathering them in the dustbag.
From time to time remove the dustbag
(fig. 22, 23). Empty the bag (fig. 24).
Do not forget to position the dustbag back before
you use the polisher again.
Replacing the mains cord
If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it
must be replaced by the original type only.
