CD Player
6 Adjust the sound with the VOLUME
control.
7 To interrupt, press );.
8 Press ); again to resume playback.
9 Press STOP 9 to stop playback.
➜ Display shows the total number of tracks
briefly.
10 Press POWER to switch off.
➜ POWER button light will turn off.
Helpful hints:
- You can also press POWER to stop CD
playback.
Selecting a different track during
playback
Press § once or more to skip to the next
track(s).
Press ∞ once and playback will return to the
beginning of the current track.
Press ∞ more than once to skip to previous
tracks.
The track number appears briefly in the dis-
play when you press ∞, § to skip tracks.
Finding a passage within a track
1 During playback, press and hold down ∞ or
§.
➜ The CD is played at high speed and low
volume.
2 Release ∞ or § when you recognize the
passage you want.
➜ Normal CD playback resumes.
Alarm
Using the alarm
General
Two different alarm times ALARM 1 and
ALARM 2 can be set in the CD, radio or
buzzer modes.
Setting the alarm time
1 Push the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 slider to
SET.
➜ Display shows Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 time
and flashes.
Helpful hints:
- Do not intend to push both ALARM sliders to SET
at the same time.
2 Press and hold down MIN ∞ / HOUR §
to fast adjust both the hours and minutes set-
tings.
3 Release MIN ∞ / HOUR § when you
have reached the desired setting.
➜ If you need to adjust the time slowly,
minute by minute, press and release MIN
∞ / HOUR § repeatedly.
4 Push the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 slider to
OFF.
➜ The clock display goes back to clock time.
To review your set alarm time, slide the
ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 to SET.
Selecting alarm mode options
1 Press POWER to switch off.
2 Select your choice of alarm mode: either FM,
MW, buzzer or CD by using the
FM•MW•BUZ•CD slider.
3 Push the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 slider to
ON.
➜ The respective ALARM indicator lights up
on the display.
Alarm
At the set alarm time, the radio, CD or
buzzer will switch on and it will automatically
switch off around 60 minutes later.
Helpful hints:
– If CD alarm mode is selected, a CD must be
inserted. CD will play from first track.
– If you have chosen Radio or CD as sleep mode,
it will then be your alarm mode.
Switching off the alarm
There are three ways of switching off the
alarm. Unless you choose to cancel the alarm
completely, the DAILY ALARM RESET option
will be automatically selected after around 60
minutes from the time your alarm time first
goes off.
24-hour alarm reset
If you want the alarm mode to be stopped
immediately but also wish to repeat the alarm
call at the same time for the following day:
➜ Press POWER / ALARM RESET dur-
ing the alarm call.
Repeat alarm
This will repeat your alarm call at 6-minute
intervals.
1 During the alarm call, press REPEAT
ALARM.
2 Repeat as desired up to 9 times.
Switching off the alarm completely
Push the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 slider to
the OFF position.
➜ The alarm indicator will disappear from
the display.
Sleep
Sleep
The CD clock radio has a built-in sleep timer,
which enables the set to be automatically
switched off during radio or CD playback
after a set period of time.There are 4 sleep
times: 90, 60, 30 minutes and off.
Setting the sleep time
1 Press POWER to switch off. the set
2 Select your timer option by pressing SLEEP
once or more until the desired option is
shown.
➜ Display shows: --(off) = 90 (minutes)
= 60 = 30 = --(off)...
3 After a few seconds, the set turns on.
➜ For CD mode is selected, press
PLAY / PAUSE ); to start playback.
4 The set will turn off automatically after the
selected time.
5 To cancel the timer function, either
• press the SLEEP button one or more
until "--" appears
• or press POWER to switch OFF.
Helpful hints:
– The sleep function does not affect your alarm
time setting(s).
– If you have an alarm set in the radio or CD
mode, make sure you have adjusted the volume
loud enough to wake you up before you set
the sleep time.
