Use of the JOG dial precisely determines the starting position.

Press the JOGlSHUTnE button to engage jogkhuttle mode during playback.
flhe JOGISHUlTLE indicator will illuminate and playback speed will become the one according to the angle
of the SHUTTLE ring.)
Turn the SHU'TTLE "ng to the center position to obtain still frame.
Turn the JOG dial clockwise for forward frame advance or counterclockwiie for reveke one.
Each appmimately 9Megree turn of the dial will feed one frame
o f
the picture.
I it is turned rapidly to the right, n m a l playback will result.

it is turned rapidly to the left, reverse playback will result.
Pressing the JOGISHUITLE button again
o r
the PLAY button resumes the
normal
playback.
(The JOGISHUITLE indicator will turn
off.)
The audio is muted while using the JOG dial and SHU'TnE ring.
After about 5 minutes in the still mode the VCR will automatically stop to prevent damage to the tape.
Any playback mode can be directly engaged during joglshuttle
mode by
pressing the appropriate button.
(JogrShuttle mode will be released
and
the JOGSHUlTLE i n d i i r will turn
off.)
