-Tensioner rod position

Cam chain adjustment steps:
- Loosen the locknut
CD.
-Turn in the cam chain adjuster
CZ)
until speci-
fied tensioner rod position is obtained.
-Tighten the locknut.
Tensioner Rod Position:
0-0.5 mm (0-0.02 in)
Locknut:
30 Nm (3.0 m.kg, 22 ft·lb)
5. Install:
- Adjuster cap
-Blind plug (Upper and lower)

Adjuster Cap:

5 Nm (0.5 m.kg, 3.6 ft.lb)
Adjuster cap is made from plastic. Do not
overtighten.
IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
1. Start the engine and warm it up for a few
minutes.
2. Attach:
-Inductive Tachometer
To spark plug lead.
Inductive Tachometer:
PIN YU-OS036
3. Measure:
- Engine idle speed
Out of specification
~
Adjust.
Engine Idle Speed:
1,350-1,450 r/min
