    The HDC-TH401/201/101 (hereafter referred to as “HDC”) are HDbaseT transmitter and splitter with HDMI local output. HDMI signals are distributed up to 4. Video and audio signals can be extended using IDK’s HDBaseT extender. The HDC also supports audio de-embedding function.

    HDC-TH401/201/101 User Guide 5 Precautions Before using, read this document. 5.1 Installation When installing the HDC, observe the following precautions. ・ Before connecting HDC or an external device, dissipate static electricity by touching grounded metal such as racks before handling signal cables. Failure to observe this precaution may result in ESD (electrostatic discharge) damage.

    ・ Cat5e/Cat6 UTP/STP can be used, however, we recommend a CAT.5E HDC cable* for the twisted pair cable which is developed by IDK to maximize quality of video transmission. ・ If using an STP cable, connect the FG connector to an earth ground source. Otherwise, the shielding feature does not work correctly.

    Deep Color output from source device, please set Deep Color setting of the HDC, and then set the source device video settings. Factory default is 8bit/component (24bit/pixel). 8) Use IDK’s HDBaseT extender supporting DVI signals to transmit HDCP-compliant DVI signals. 9) If you got any trouble, see “9 Trouble shooting”.

    HDC-TH401/201/101 User Guide 7.23 Setting forced output HDMI mode This menu is available if “7.22 Setting maintenance” is set to “ON”. The HDC transmitter determines whether the connected sink device is HDMI monitor or DVI monitor by acquiring sink device’s EDID. If the EDID cannot be acquired and the sink device is HDMI monitor, audio may not be output or other problem may occur.

Some source devices negotiate with the connected device to determine if HDCP encryption is supported. After this negotiation, the source device determines whether HDCP signal encryption is enforced or not. This process takes place with some source device, even if the content being presented is not copyright protected.
