d. Tighten the two chinstraps first. Always
pull in a backward direction when tightening
any facepiece strap.
e. Tighten the two temple straps. All head straps
and headnet should lay flat on your head.
f. Performance Leak Check: Inhale, pull your
gauntlet to the side and place the palm of your
hand over the Air Klic as shown. Exhale to
insure the exhalation valve is operating
properly. Inhale and hold your breath for 3
seconds. The facepiece should collapse on
your face without leaking. If the facepiece
leaks, reposition the mask, adjust the straps
and repeat the leak test.
g. Pull hood over head and secure opening
around the facepiece.
