DMBK-S101 8 CH Mic Pre Amp Board (Option)

The DMBK-S101 is an option board specially
designed only for the SIU-100/100T.
This board installed in the SIU-100/100T enables
remote control the PAD, Gain and +48V on/off
parameters.
After this board has been installed, adjustment of the
settings for the DMBK-S101 is required.
For detailed information on settings, see "MIC AMP Menu"
on page 112 and "MIC AMP Page" on page 138.
1 MIC INPUT connectors
Connect microphones. Inputs balanced analog signals.
PAD = OFF: –66 dBu to –20 dBu standard
PAD = ON: –36 dBu to +10 dBu standard
You have to set the input destination, PAD ON/OFF,
and +48V mic power on/off from the SIU-100/100T.
You can also set those parameters from an SIU-RM101
connected to the SIU-100/100T.
Note
When +48 V mic power is supplied, do no use a
microphone other than the one with an external power
supply system.
2 Mic power indicators
Light when +48 V mic power is supplied via the MIC
INPUT connectors.
Notes
• The DMBK-S101 is specially designed for the SIU-
100/100T. You cannot insert this board into the
DMX-R100.
• When changing the on/off setting of the PAD,
switching the reference level from –42 dBu to –44
dBu, or vice versa (if PAD=ON, from –12 dBu to –14
dBu or vice versa), noise may occur. But this is not a
malfunction.
Note on +48 V power consumption
When +48V power is used, check the specifications of
the microphones to be used. Use microphones such
that the total power consumption of 8 channels for
each slot should be about 40 mA. If the total power
consumption exceeds 40 mA, the higher the power
consumption is, the lower the power voltage is. This
means that the microphones may not work correctly.
Example: When two microphones of 10 mA and six
microphones of 3 mA are connected to the DMBK-
S101
Since the total power consumption is 38 mA, there is
no problem.
