Installation of this unit

Removing the unit from the rack

Preparation
1 If the unit is in operation, shut it down through the
Web interface.
(Although it is possible to force the unit to turn off by
pressing and holding this button for at least 15 seconds,
in normal circumstances, turn it off by controlling it from
the server connected to the unit to prevent problems
such as data loss and server shutdown.)
2 Turn off the external power supply, and server.
3 Remove all DC cables, interface cables from the unit. (
≥ Ensure the space and passage for the unit is clear.
Remove the modules from the shelves from the top down
following the procedure below.
≥ Depending on the system configuration or installation
location, this step must be performed with both hands at an
elevated height. Ensure that the work area is safe and be
careful not to stumble over objects or fall from the area.

Remove the top panel of the module and at the
top, unlock the magazine drawers and module
holder brackets then remove all of the
magazine drawers. (
≥ Contact the vendor if there is another devise above, or
if it is difficult to remove the top panel because the
module is located at the top of the rack.

Disconnect the gear rack.
≥ Follow steps 1 to 7 of "Extension" (

Remove the metal fastenings for positioning
from two devices: the module to be removed
(excluding the Bottom Module) and the module
above it. (

≥ If the thumbscrews on the metal fastenings for
positioning are too tight, use a cross-slot screwdriver
to rotate them.

Remove the screws that hold the module to be
removed to the rack.
