  • Page 6 Setup You should have received the following items: TalkingSign™ transmitter 120VAC to 12VDC wall adapter wire antenna lapel microphone owner’s manual Step 1 Plug antenna wire into antenna (3) and extend out horizontally. Step 2 Select ‘3m wire’ with antenna selector (2) Step 3 Connect wall adapter to 12VDC input (6).
  • Page 7 Record Message Using Lapel Microphone The TalkingSign™ stores messages digitally with no moving parts to wear out. Your recorded message time may be any time up to 5 minutes and on playback, the message will continuously repeat regardless of length with no ‘dead-air’ time.
  • Page 8 Record Message From An External Device The TalkingSign™ may also record from an external device such as a tape deck or CD player. Step 1 Attach a ‘patch cord, (not supplied) from the line/audio out of the external player to the LINE IN (9) of the TalkingSign™.
  • Page 9 Broadcast Live The TalkingSign™ may also be used to continuously broadcast audio with no recording occurring. Step 1 Switch the control lock switch (7) to the unlocked position. This activates the front panel buttons (a-d). Step 2 Connect the lapel microphone to MIC (10) and/or connect an external audio player to LINE IN (9).
