Do not leave the switched on measuring tool unattended
and switch the tool off after use. Other persons could be
blinded by the laser beam.

Switching On and Off

To switch on the measuring tool, push down the On/Off button
1. When switching on the measuring tool, the laser beam is
switched on. The laser indicator flashes on the display.
To switch off the measuring tool, push down the On/Off button
1 and hold for 3 seconds.
When no button on the measuring tool is pressed for approx.
5 minutes, the measuring tool automatically switches off to
save the batteries.
Measuring Procedure (See Figure A)
Once switched on, the measuring tool is in the real time
measurement mode. Laser is automatically activated and tool
is measuring.
The rear edge of the measuring tool is always the reference
point for the measurement that is being taken.
Place the measuring tool against the desired starting point of
the measurement (e.g. a wall).

Measuring Functions

Real Time Measurement
For real time measurements, the measuring tool can be moved
relative to the target. In this manner for example, the distance
displayed on the screen will change in real time as you move
further or closer to the measured target.
Auto Total for Square Footage or Square Meters (See Figure
B)
The auto total feature automatically calculates the product
of two individual measurements (e.g. to determine square
footage/meters)
The auto-total value is not saved. It is erased as soon as a
third measurement is taken, device is switched off or if device
automatically switches off when no button is pressed after 5
minutes. A subsequent corrections of the auto-total is not
possible.
