  • Page 18 Accelerator Pedal “Kickdown” Click System (5AT Only) (5AT Only) 2009 Accord Euro has adopted the Accelerator Pedal “Kickdown” Click System so that the kickdown may be conducted as intended by the driver. The system determines the shift down points precisely for better kickdown control during high-speed driving.
  • Page 19 Paddle Shift Paddle Shift On the 2009 Accord Euro, a single action on the steering wheel paddle shift is used to engage up-shifting and down-shifting. For example, if you want to decelerate slightly while driving in fourth or fifth gear in the D position, you can down-shift by operating the left hand paddle shift located just behind the steering wheel.
