Lift the Document Cover.

Load your document on the Platen Glass.
Place your document face down on the Platen
Glass.
Align the upper left corner of your document with
the alignment mark on the upper left corner of
the Platen Glass.
You can also scan in originals that are up to
0.8" / 20 mm thick, such as books. Set them on
the Platen Glass in the same way as documents.

Gently close the Document Cover.
