You can select one of these text entry methods:
entry mode
TAP English Enter letters and numbers by
pressing a key one or more times
(see page 29).
TAP Extended Enter letters and numbers by
pressing a key one or more times
(see page 29). Includes non-English
characters.
iTAP™ Let the phone predict each English
word as you press keys (see
page 28).
Numeric Enter numbers only (see page 29).
Symbol Enter symbols only (see page 29).
iTAP™ method

Press in a text entry screen to select and switch
to iTAP method. iTAP method lets you enter words using
one key press per letter. The iTAP software combines

your key presses into common words, and predicts
each word as you enter it.
For example, if you press
displays a list of word combinations such as Appl, Aspj,
Aspk, Aspl, and Asp5.
When you enter three or more characters in a row,
your phone will guess the word.
For example, if you enter Prog, your phone might
