If a DHCP, BOOTP or RARP server is not
being used, the device will appear as
[Unconfigured] in the BRAdmin Light
utility screen.

Select [STATIC] for [Boot Method].
Specify settings for [IP Address],
[Subnet Mask] and [Gateway] of your
machine, if necessary.

specified, the node and model name of
the machine appears in the list.

This machine can be used with the following
management utilities in addition to the
BRAdmin Light utility. You can change your
network settings using these utilities.
Using Web-Based
Management (Web Browser)
Using HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), a
standard web browser can be used to change
your print server settings. See Configuring
Machine Settings Using Web-Based
Management (Web Browser) on page 46.
Using the BRAdmin
Professional Utility
BRAdmin Professional is a utility for more
advanced management of network
connected devices. This utility can search for
Brother products on your network, and show
the device status in an easy-to-read Explorer-
style window with color changes indicating
the status of each device. You can configure
network and device settings as well as
update device firmware from a Windows
computer on your local area network (LAN).
BRAdmin Professional can also log activity of
Brother devices on your network and export
the log data in an HTML, CSV, TXT or SQL
format.

• If a firewall, anti-spyware or antivirus
software is being used, temporarily
disable them. After checking that printing
